STUDENT EXPECTATIONS

• Attend a MESA Orientation: Learn about program expectations, resources, and opportunities.
  
  
• Academic Workshops: Attend 3–5 Academic Excellence Workshops (AEWs) each academic year.
  
  
• MESA Engagement: Participate in MESA events, mentoring, tutoring, and other activities.
  
  
• STEM Counseling: Meet with Raquel Gutierrez, the STEM Counselor, each semester and maintain a current Student Education Plan (SEP).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Have a declared calculus-based STEM major
  
  
• Plan to transfer to a four-year university
  
  
• First-generation college student
  
  
• Be eligible for need-based Financial Aid
  
  
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or AB 540/DACA
